Ohio State Buckeyes Secure Commitment from Three-Star Receiver

The Ohio State Buckeyes have added a second wide receiver commit to their 2027 class with Jordan Donahoo's verbal pledge.

What happened?

Donahoo, a three-star receiver from Oviedo, Florida, chose Ohio State over Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, and Minnesota.

He recently made an official visit to Columbus alongside OSU commit Jamier Brown.

Donahoo is ranked as the No. 150 wide receiver in the country according to 247Sports composite rankings.

Why it matters for Ohio State Buckeyes

The 6-foot-4, 190-pound receiver gives the Buckeyes another big target.

This is the second commitment at receiver this week, joining elite 2029 receiver Austin Brown.

Donahoo becomes the 17th recruit to give his pledge to play in Scarlet and Gray next season.

What comes next?

The coaching staff is still hoping to sway Monshun Sales from Indiana, the No. 2 overall receiver in the class, to join the Buckeyes.

After yesterday's monster commitment from five-star offensive tackle Caden Moss, Ohio State has now moved up to having the No. 8 class in the country.

The Buckeyes are looking to build on this momentum with their next game against Ball State Cardinals on 2026-09-05.

The good news is there are still some big names out there that the Buckeyes are hoping to snag, in particular, running back David Gabriel-Georges and defensive lineman Marcus Fakatou.

Both are five-star prospects and would push the class even higher.

The Buckeyes' recruiting efforts are heating up, and fans are eager to see how the rest of the season plays out.
